DESCRIPTION

Quibron-T is a brand name for theophylline, a medication that treats asthma and certain conditions affecting the lungs.

How It Works

Quibron-T contains and active ingredient called theophylline, which is known as a xanthine derivative. This drug can relax the smooth muscles lining the bronchi airways of the lungs, making them widen to breathe easy. The drug also improves the function of the diaphragm, the muscle on the top of the abdomen that helps lungs expand and contract.

Quibron-T also decreases the immune response to irritants in the lungs. In presence of certain foreign bodies like allergens, the immune system may cause excessive mucus production or coughing that can hinder breathing. Quibron-T can relieve these symptoms.

Uses
