Nootropil
DESCRIPTION

Nootropil is a GABA analogue drug with the active ingredient piracetam, and can be identified as orange, capsule-shaped tablets to be taken orally.

How It Works

Nootropil works by helping to improve the cognitive functioning of your brain, such as learning capacity, memory, thought processes, and other related functions. It affects the circulation of chemicals in the brain, thus, boosting brainpower. The medication also aims to protect your brain and nervous system against shortness of oxygen.

Uses

Nootropil is used to treat myoclonus and prescribed in combination with other medicines. Myoclonus is a nervous system condition that causes the arms and legs muscles to jerk or twitch uncontrollably.

Dosage

You should take the medication only as prescribed by your doctor as the allocated dose will vary with age; never attempt to adjust the dose or dosage frequency on your own. Your doctor may start you on a lower dose and gradually increase it later. The tablets should be swallowed whole with the help of water. If you missed a dose, just continue with the dosage schedule as planned and do not double dose. Once you feel better, do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor.
