Fertomid
DESCRIPTION

Fertomid contains the active ingredient Clomiphene citrate. This drug is known as a selective estrogen receptor modulator and it treats infertility in women.

How it works

Clomiphene citrate acts on estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus located in the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus connect the nervous system with the endocrine system through the pituitary gland. It is responsible for maintaining correct levels of hormones in the body. Clomiphene citrate binds with estrogen receptors and triggers endocrine processes to cause an increase in gonadotropin hormones and the rupture of follicles. The increase of gonadotropin results in the growth of ovarian follicles. This process initiates ovulation and causes menstruation.
